Kit-Cats Announces
Launching of their new boat--the Custom 42' Powercat
Merritt Island, FL
Aug 02, 2005 A Kit-Cat boat is a unique entry into
the boating industry and mainly because it's a catamaran
boat that can be built by the buyer. If building a boat is
not a priority, Kit-Cats can build the boat for you.
The latest boat to be launched at Kit-Cats', Merritt
Island facility is proof that with the assistance of an
expert team at Kit-Cats, the buyer can build it. This Custom
42' Powercat is powered by a pair of Suzuki 200-hp outboards
and it may look like a finished boat from the outside, but
in fact, it is going to another location to put the interior
in. A prime example of how the have-it-your-way motto
works at Kit-Cats. For more information on this and the full

About Kit-Cats
Kit-Cats brings an innovative and affordable new approach
to the luxury power-sailing and yachting market. Drawing
from a background of extensive recreational cruising and a
highly successful business in the custom-built high
performance aviation market partners Steve Young and Ron
Lueck of Merritt Island, FL have now made it possible to own
a meticulously crafted multi-hull cruising yacht at a
substantially reduced price.
The concept starts with “build-your-own”. Much like
building your own house, or your own custom-built airplane,
Kit-Cats offers a comprehensive package. Not only does a
customer get an individually tailored design and complete
components package, but professional assembly assistance is
also available for hire as needed. This enables each
owner/builder to assemble a vessel that perfectly matches
their individual requirements, with as much (or as little)
personal “hands-on” involvement in the construction process
as desired.
By personally participating in the design and
construction of a new custom-built Kit-Cat, owners benefit
from a cost savings of 35% to as much as 50% below the
regular retail price of a similar production vessel.
