Sail Cat 2-Hull Catamaran

The Sail Cat is a 38' twin-hull motor-sail catamaran, featuring a roomy combination galley and dinette Main Salon on the main deck, with four (4) staterooms (8 berths), two (2) fully equipped heads, and ample storage areas below. Total capacity: up to 8 adults can sail comfortably.

Special Features

a) Moving about onboard can be accomplished easily and safely because large flat floors and deck walkways, with roomy passages throughout, provide passengers with sure footing, security, and comfort.

b) A big, roomy group seating area is provided on the aft deck, complete with BBQ and easily-accessible refrigerator for refreshments. A super-large swim platform is also provided, so that everyone can enjoy diving and swimming.

c) A giant hard-surface Bridge Deck with large bow trampoline provides passengers with ample lounging and sunbathing areas. Up to 6 people at a time can sunbathe comfortably on the bow.

d) A securely fixed Hardtop for the cockpit protects the captain from the elements, while providing unequalled 360⁰ visibility for maneuvering.

With an empty weight of only 9800 lbs, and boasting a 14,800 lbs gross weight, the Sail Cat has a useful load capacity of 5000 lbs. Ample to carry 100 gallons of fuel, 100 gallons of fresh water, and provisions for up to 8 people. With an impressive shoal draft of only 22" (light) to 25" (full gross), maneuvering in shallow water is simple and easy.

Flexible, versatile sail plans are available for the Sail Cat. The most popular arrangement utilizes a masthead sloop rig with full battened main sail and a roller-furling 110 jib.

That’s one of the great things about building your own boat… It’s easy to custom-tailor it as needed to meet your individual requirements.

Special attention has been paid to detail in the roomy Main Salon area.

Large windows provide unequalled visibility.

When one of those tropical rain showers hits, the roomy Main Salon provides a dry and comfortable refuge until the weather passes.

This room also serves double duty as the dining lounge each evening.
